Flaunt It Fridays May 13

Happy Friday the 13th!! You should have arrived here from Carley's blog. If not, click here to start at the beginning of the hop. :)  It's blog hop week over at Flaunt It Fridays! In honor of Friday the 13th, we are flaunting the Happy Hauntings cartidge. The challenge is to use the cut that says "Friday the 13th" on page 54. I couldn't bring myself to do a Halloween or spooky project so, I made this card:

For our second project, we could use any cut from the cartridge. I used the 3-D frame cut (without the spiderweb portion on the top) using cereal boxes. Again, it's not spooky or Halloween themed, but here it is:

Flaunt it Fridays - May 6

This week's challenge is to flaunt the castle from the Wrap It Up cartridge on page 24 of the handbook. I decided to make mine into a sandcastle - the sentiment inside says "wishing you an out-sand-ing day!"

Flaunt it Fridays - April 15

This week we are flaunting the fish from Simply Charmed on page 41 (with the shift key pressed) - yes, that would be the dead looking one! I could not figure out what I was going to do with that fish! So I used wiggle eyes so he would look a little more lively and here it is - it says "I'm hooked on you"

The cartridge we are flaunting this week is Birthday Bash. For our first project, we are to use the bunny with the present on page 27 of the handbook. Our other project could use any cut from the cartridge - I used a bunch of them!! :)

Here is my bunny tag. I used the bunny on the front and his present on the back. The present swivels on a brad to hide your note!

My next project is a mini album. The paper collection, I guess, was intended to represent birthday celebrations. But, I thought I would like to celebrate everything in this mini album. The pages are the banners cut from the Birthday Bash cartridge, minus the holes. The title is also cut from the same cartridge. Inside are different banners that read "celebrate life", "celebrate love", and "celebrate family". These small banners are cut from the Country Life cartridge.

Flaunt it Fridays January 28

This week we are flaunting a cut from the Paper Pups cartridge. The cut can be found on page 104 with the border function on. To create this card, I used my Gypsy to hide the interior cuts and then weld the dog and cat to the top of a rectangle. I cut the dog and cat  again in the dark brown, with all of the lines visible. I kept the color to a minimum as I wanted to make a non-girlie looking card.

Flaunt it Fridays Blog Hop!

Welcome to the Flaunt it Fridays Hello Kitty blog hop!! You should have arrived from Cheryl's blog - if not, click here to start at the beginning. For this week's challenge we were asked to flaunt the Hello Kitty with Airplane on Page 65 from the Hello Kitty Greetings Cart. So, for my challenge project, I decided to do a mini album. I cut the pages using the shadow function and used just the airplane portion of the cut. I then created the tags out of another Hello Kitty cut so the could slide into the pocket created by the airplane. :)

For my second project, I used the heart with the wings cut from page 51. I used the card function and the layers. I wanted to do this project using non-traditional Hello Kitty colors. :)

Flaunt it Fridays Challenge #4

For this week, I couldn't decide whether I wanted to make a card or a tag... so I ended up doing both! No, I didn't make 2 projects this week - it's a card, tucked into a tag! See, I really like gift tags on presents because they make the package look all pretty. But on the other hand, everyone can see your note to the recipient, which is why sometimes cards are better. So for this project, the little turtle is a card to write a note in. He tucks into an acetate flap on the gift tag that hangs on a present! The top layer of grass is adhered to some acetate so that it will hold the tag in place, but you can still see the turtle behind it.
